Description
A rich and delicious dessert made with cream cheese and bittersweet chocolate.
Ingredients
Scale
- 16 oz cream cheese (softened)
- 8 oz bittersweet chocolate baking bars
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
- 1/4 cup white granulated sugar
- 1–1 cups mini marshmallows
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350℉ and lightly grease an 8-inch round baking pan.
- Combine the cream cheese, heavy whipping cream, vanilla extract and sugar in a mixing bowl and beat on medium-high speed for a couple of minutes. You want the texture to be light and fluffy and completely mixed.
- Break up the chocolate bars into small pieces and add it to a double boiler. Set the heat to medium and melt the chocolate just until all melted and smooth. Alternatively, you can break up the bars into small pieces and melt it in the microwave, on half the power. Melt it in 30-45 second increments and make sure to stir in between.
- Pour in melted chocolate to the cream cheese mixture. Beat for another minute or two, scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl, and beat until smooth.
- Spread the mixture in the baking pan and cover with marshmallows and chocolate chips (if using).
- Bake for about 15 minutes, until the marshmallows are golden brown.
- Serve with fruit, crackers and cookies.
