A delicious and creamy ground beef pasta bake topped with melted cheese.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1 lb ground beef
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 8 oz uncooked mafalda or rotini pasta
- 2 cups low-sodium beef broth
- 1 cup ricotta cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
Instructions
- Heat olive oil in a large deep skillet or pot over medium-high heat. Add ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks. Season with salt, pepper, and garlic powder.
- Stir in the Italian seasoning and marinara sauce. Add uncooked pasta and beef broth, stirring until pasta is evenly coated and submerged.
- Bring mixture to a boil, then reduce heat, cover, and simmer for 15-18 minutes or until pasta is tender. Stir occasionally to prevent sticking.
- Once the pasta is cooked, stir in ricotta cheese until well combined. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese over the top, then cover and let sit for 2-3 minutes until cheese is melted.
- Serve hot, garnished with additional Parmesan and fresh herbs if desired.
