Delicious and crispy chicken wings marinated in a sweet and savory sauce.
Ingredients
Scale
- 2 lbs chicken wings
- 1 cup pineapple juice (100% pure)
- 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp ginger powder
- 2 tsp sesame oil
- Chopped green onions (for garnish)
- Toasted sesame seeds (for garnish)
Instructions
- Prepare the marinade: In a mixing bowl, combine pineapple juice, soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic powder, ginger powder, and sesame oil. Mix well.
- Marinate the wings: Place chicken wings in a resealable bag or bowl and pour marinade over them. Seal or cover tightly and refrigerate for at least 1 hour or overnight.
- Preheat oven or grill: Set your oven to 400°F (200°C) or prepare your grill over medium heat.
- Cook the wings: Arrange wings on a foil-lined baking sheet if baking. Bake for 40-45 minutes until golden brown and crispy. If grilling, cook until done with nice grill marks.
- Glaze: In the last 10 minutes of cooking, brush additional marinade onto the wings.
- Garnish and serve hot: Plate wings topped with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
Notes
- For spicier wings, add red pepper flakes to the marinade.
- Leftover wings can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
