A rich and creamy mushroom sauce perfect for steaks or pasta.
Ingredients

- 8 oz fresh cremini or portobello mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter
- 1 cup low-sodium beef broth
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley or thyme, chopped
- 1 tbsp soy sauce
Instructions
- Clean and slice the mushrooms; mince the garlic.
- In a skillet over medium heat, melt 2 tbsp butter. Add minced garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Add sliced mushrooms and cook for 5-7 minutes until golden brown.
- Pour in the beef broth and heavy cream, stirring well to combine.
- Season with soy sauce and herbs; simmer for about 5 minutes until slightly thickened.
- Stir in the remaining 2 tbsp of butter before serving hot over steak.
Notes
- This sauce pairs well with grilled meats and can also be used as a pasta sauce.
- Feel free to substitute the beef broth with vegetable broth for a lighter option.
