Description

A delicious soy sauce glaze perfect for enhancing the flavor of your dishes.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, grated
  • 2 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon cornstarch
  • 2 tablespoons water
  • 1/2 teaspoon sesame oil (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a small saucepan, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, honey, garlic, ginger, and rice vinegar over medium heat until the sugar is fully dissolved.
  2. Let the sauce simmer gently for 3–5 minutes to develop flavor.
  3. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl to form a slurry.
  4. Slowly whisk the slurry into the simmering sauce and stir until thickened, about 1–2 minutes.
  5. Add sesame oil if using, then remove from heat and let cool slightly before serving or storing.
