- 3 ripe avocados
- 1 lime, juiced
- 1/4 cup finely chopped red onion
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
- 1 jalapeño pepper, minced
- 1 small tomato, diced (optional)
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
Instructions
- Cut avocados in half, remove the pit, and scoop into a bowl.
- Mash the avocados to your preferred consistency.
- Stir in the red onion, jalapeño, cilantro, and tomato if using.
- Add lime juice and mix well.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve immediately or cover tightly and refrigerate.

- This guacamole is best served fresh.
- If storing, press plastic wrap directly onto the surface to minimize browning.
