Description

A delicious and easy beef and broccoli spaghetti dish!

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 pound lean ground beef
  • 4 cloves garlic (minced)
  • 1 pound spaghetti (cooked and drained)
  • 10 ounces broccoli florets (frozen or fresh, steamed)
  • 1 cup soy sauce
  • 1 cup orange juice
  • 1 tablespoon rice vinegar
  • 2/3 cup pure maple syrup (or honey)
  • 1 tablespoon corn starch
  • 2 green onions (sliced thin for garnish)
  • 1 tablespoon sesame seeds (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add ground beef with garlic and cook until browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Drain excess grease if needed.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together soy sauce, orange juice, maple syrup or honey, rice vinegar and corn starch.
  3. After draining the pasta, add the sauce and cook, whisking occasionally until it starts to thicken.
  4. Add cooked pasta and ground beef, tossing to coat well. Stir in broccoli.
  5. Garnish with sliced green onions and sesame seeds before serving.

Notes

  • This dish can be made with either fresh or frozen broccoli, depending on what you have available.
  • Feel free to adjust the sweetness of the sauce by adding more or less maple syrup or honey.
