Description
Indulge in these rich chocolate cookies with gooey marshmallow fluff that will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Ingredients
Scale
- 1/2 cup Unsalted butter (softened for a creamy texture)
- 1/2 cup Granulated sugar (adds sweetness to balance the rich chocolate)
- 1/2 cup Light brown sugar (brings in a hint of caramel flavor)
- 1 Large egg (binds the ingredients together for perfect consistency)
- 1 teaspoon Pure vanilla extract (enhances sweetness with aromatic depth)
- 1 Tablespoon Milk (keeps the dough moist and pliable)
- 1 cup All-purpose flour (the base that holds everything together)
- 2/3 cup Natural cocoa powder (the star ingredient for that intense chocolate flavor)
- 1 teaspoon Baking soda (helps the cookies rise beautifully)
- 1/2 teaspoon Kosher salt (balances sweetness and enhances flavor)
- 4 ounces Chopped semi-sweet chocolate bar (for melty chunks in every bite)
- 1/2 cup Marshmallow creme (fluff) (gives that delightful gooeyness)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, beat the unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar on medium-high speed for 2-3 minutes until light and fluffy. Add the egg, vanilla extract, and milk, and combine well.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt. Gradually mix the dry ingredients into the wet ingredients until just combined for a thick dough.
- Gently fold in the chopped semi-sweet chocolate bar. Cover the dough tightly with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F and line two baking sheets with parchment paper.
- After chilling, let the dough sit at room temperature for 20-30 minutes if chilled for over 24 hours. Dollop the marshmallow fluff on top and gently fold it in.
- Using a large cookie scoop, portion the dough onto prepared baking pans, spaced a few inches apart, rolling each into tall, cone-like balls.
- Bake for 10-12 minutes until edges are set and tops are slightly soft. Reshape if needed and add extra chocolate chunks. Transfer to a wire rack to cool.
Notes
- For best results, chill the dough before baking to enhance the flavor and texture.
- Store cookies in an airtight container to maintain freshness.
