- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 24 Oreo cookies
- 1 cup caramel sauce
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup cream cheese, softened
- 2 large eggs
Instructions
- Prepare the Cake Base: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix with the melted butter and one egg. Mix until combined. Press this mixture evenly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Create the Oreo Layer: Place Oreo cookies evenly over the cake base, pressing them lightly into the mixture.
- Mix the Cream Cheese Layer: In another bowl, beat the cream cheese until smooth. Add the sweetened condensed milk and the remaining egg. Mix well. Pour this mixture over the Oreo layer in the baking dish.
- Add the Caramel Topping: Drizzle the caramel sauce evenly over the cream cheese mixture.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the edges are golden and the center is set.
- Cool and Serve: Let cool completely in the dish. Cut into bars and top each piece with an additional Oreo cookie (optional).
Notes
- For a more intense chocolate flavor, use a dark chocolate cake mix.
- Ensure the bars are completely cool before cutting to prevent them from falling apart.
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. For best taste, serve at room temperature.
