- 4 oz cream cheese, room temperature
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 1¾ cups all-purpose flour
- ½ tsp baking powder
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Cream butter and cream cheese together until light and airy (about 2-3 minutes).
- Blend in the granulated sugar, egg, and vanilla until smooth.
- Gradually add baking powder and all-purpose flour, mixing until just combined.
- Chill the dough in the refrigerator for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll the dough into 1–2 inch balls and place on the baking sheet.
- Flatten each ball gently to a ¾-inch thickness.
- Bake for 9–11 minutes until golden underneath, then cool on a wire rack.
- Dust with icing sugar before serving.
