- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 1 cup cottage cheese
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup shredded cheese (such as cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/4 teaspoon onion powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 tablespoon olive oil (for sautéing spinach)
- Optional: herbs (such as parsley or dill) for additional flavor
Instructions
- Begin by preheating your oven to 350°F (175°C).
- In a skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat. Add the chopped spinach and sauté for 3-4 minutes until wilted. Remove from heat and let cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, cottage cheese, shredded cheese, and milk until smooth.
- Add garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper to the egg mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Fold the sautéed spinach into the egg and cheese mixture until evenly distributed.
- Lightly grease a 9-inch pie dish or quiche pan with cooking spray or olive oil.
- Transfer the quiche mixture into the prepared dish, spreading it evenly.
- Place in the preheated oven and bake for 40-45 minutes or until the quiche is firm and the top is slightly golden.
- Once done, remove the quiche from the oven and let it cool for about 10-15 minutes before slicing.
- Cut into wedges and serve warm, or refrigerate for later use.
Notes
- Quiche can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Feel free to add other vegetables or spices to customize your quiche.
