Deliciously crunchy toffee made with Saltine crackers and chocolate.

- 1 package Saltine Crackers
- 1 cup Unsalted Butter
- 1 cup Brown Sugar
- 2 cups Chocolate Chips
- 1 cup Chopped Nuts (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Prepare your baking sheet by lining it with foil or parchment paper and arrange the crackers.
- Melt the unsalted butter in a saucepan over medium heat, then add brown sugar and whisk until combined, bringing it to a gentle boil for about 3 minutes.
- Pour the hot toffee mixture over the saltine crackers and spread evenly with a spatula.
- Bake for 5 minutes in the preheated oven, then turn off the oven.
- Sprinkle chocolate chips over the hot toffee, then return to the turned-off oven for an additional 2 minutes.
- Spread the melted chocolate with a spatula; optionally sprinkle with chopped nuts.
- Refrigerate for at least 1 hour to harden, then break into pieces and enjoy.
Notes
- This recipe is easy to make and perfect for a sweet snack.
- You can use any variety of chocolate chips: milk, dark, or semi-sweet.
- Chopped nuts are optional but add a nice crunch.
