Description

A delicious and easy-to-make breakfast slider that combines savory sausage, scrambled eggs, and melted cheddar cheese, all served on soft slider buns.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 slider buns
  • 12 slices of cheddar cheese
  • 12 breakfast sausage patties
  • 6 large eggs
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • to taste salt and pepper
  • optional: Hot sauce, ketchup, or mustard for serving

Instructions

  1. Cook the Sausage Patties: In a skillet over medium heat, cook the sausage patties until they are thoroughly cooked and browned on both sides, about 4-5 minutes per side. Remove from the skillet and set aside.
  2. Scramble the Eggs: In the same skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. In a bowl, whisk the eggs with salt and pepper. Pour the eggs into the skillet and scramble them gently until they are fully cooked. Remove from heat.
  3. Assemble the Sliders: Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the bottom halves of the slider buns on a baking sheet. Layer each bun with a sausage patty, a scoop of scrambled eggs, and a slice of cheddar cheese. Place the top halves of the buns on top of each assembled slider.
  4. Bake the Sliders: Cover the sliders with aluminum foil and bake in the preheated oven for about 10 minutes, until the cheese is melted and the sliders are warmed through.
  5. Serve: Serve immediately with optional hot sauce, ketchup, or mustard on the side.

Notes

  • Cheese Options: Feel free to use different types of cheese like Swiss or pepper jack for varied flavors.
  • Make-Ahead Tip: You can assemble the sliders and keep them in the refrigerator overnight. Just bake them before serving.
  • Add Vegetables: Consider adding sautéed onions, bell peppers, or spinach for extra flavor and nutrition.
  • Keep Warm: If you’re serving a crowd, you can keep the sliders warm in a low oven until ready to serve.
