Description

A delicious and hearty sandwich filled with ground beef, cheese, and grilled to perfection.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g Ground beef
  • 8 slices Cheddar cheese
  • 8 Bread slices
  • for spreading Butter
  • 1 Onion, chopped
  • 2 Garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Pepper
  • optional Fresh parsley, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Ingredients: Chop the onion and mince the garlic.
  2. Cook the Beef: In a large skillet over medium heat, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Sauté until the onion is translucent. Add the ground beef to the skillet. Cook until browned, breaking it apart with a wooden spoon. Stir in the Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Cook for another 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
  3. Assemble the Sandwich: Preheat a griddle or skillet over medium-low heat. Butter one side of each bread slice. Place one slice of bread, buttered side down, on the skillet. Add a layer of cheese, a generous portion of the beef mixture, and another layer of cheese. Top with another slice of bread, buttered side up.
  4. Cook the Sandwich: Grill the sandwich for about 3-4 minutes on each side or until the bread is golden brown and the cheese is melted.
  5. Repeat: Repeat the assembly and cooking steps for the remaining sandwiches.
  6. Serve: Garnish with fresh parsley if desired. Serve hot.

Notes

  • Use thick-sliced bread for a heartier sandwich.
  • Experiment with different cheeses like mozzarella or pepper jack for variation.
  • For added flavor, mix in a tablespoon of mustard or hot sauce into the beef mixture.
  • Ensure cheese is fully melted for optimal gooeyness. Lower the heat if necessary to prevent burning the bread.
