- 1 ball pizza dough
- 1 1/2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/3 cup fresh basil leaves
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/2 teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 475°F (245°C) and place a pizza stone inside if using.
- Roll out the dough on a floured surface.
- Heat olive oil in a small pan and sauté the minced garlic for 1-2 minutes until fragrant but not browned.
- Transfer the dough to a parchment-lined sheet or pizza peel. Brush crust with olive oil, spread garlic evenly, then top with mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Bake the pizza for 10-12 minutes until the crust is golden and cheese is bubbly and slightly browned.
- Remove from the oven and top with fresh basil. Add crushed red pepper flakes if desired. Let it rest 2 minutes before slicing and serving.
