Description
Delicious brown sugar cookies that are soft and chewy with a hint of cinnamon.
Ingredients

- 2 ½ cups all purpose flour (spoon and leveled)
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- ½ teaspoon cinnamon
- ¾ teaspoon salt
- 1 cup butter (melted)
- 1 ½ cups dark brown sugar (lightly packed)
- 1 egg
- 1 egg yolk
- 2 teaspoons vanilla
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
Instructions
- In a medium bowl whisk together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon and salt until combined.
- In a large bowl using a hand mixer mix the melted butter, brown sugar until smooth.
- Add in the egg, egg yolk and vanilla mix until combined.
- Add the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until combined.
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
- Chill the dough for 30 minutes then scoop 2 tablespoons dough balls and lightly toss them into granulated sugar.
- Place onto the prepared baking sheet and bake for 9-11 minutes.
Notes
- Cookies are best enjoyed warm from the oven.
- Store in an airtight container for up to one week.
