Description

Delicious homemade chocolate chip cookies with a rich, buttery flavor.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda

  • 2 cups chocolate chips

Instructions

  1. Melt the butter in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring often, until it foams and turns golden brown with a nutty aroma. Remove from the heat and let it cool slightly.
  2. Pour the browned butter into a large mixing bowl and whisk in the brown sugar and granulated sugar until smooth.
  3. Add the eggs and vanilla extract, then whisk until the mixture looks glossy and fully combined.
  4. In a separate bowl, stir together the flour, baking soda, and salt.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix just until a soft dough forms.
  6. Fold in the chocolate chips until evenly distributed throughout the dough.
  7. Chill the dough for 20 to 30 minutes for thicker cookies and better flavor.
  8. Preheat the oven to 350°F and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  9. Scoop the dough onto the prepared baking sheets, leaving space between each cookie.
  10. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes, until the edges are golden and the centers still look slightly soft.
  11. Let the cookies rest on the baking sheet for 5 minutes, then transfer them to a wire rack to cool completely.
