Description

A deliciously sweet and salty treat made with saltine crackers, chocolate, and toffee.


Ingredients

  • 40 saltine crackers
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 2 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup holiday sprinkles or chopped nuts

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400°F (205°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or foil.
  2. Arrange the saltine crackers in a single layer, covering the entire pan.
  3. In a saucepan, melt butter and brown sugar over medium heat, stirring constantly. Bring to a boil, then let boil for 3 minutes without stirring.
  4. Carefully pour the hot toffee over the crackers and spread evenly.
  5. Bake for 5 minutes until bubbly. Remove from oven.
  6. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. Let sit 2 minutes, then spread melted chocolate evenly.
  7. Add sprinkles or chopped nuts over the melted chocolate.
  8. Cool completely at room temperature or in the fridge until set.
  9. Break into pieces and serve or store.
