Description

Deliciously spiced ginger cookies that are perfect for any occasion.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking soda
  • 0 tsp salt
  • 2 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

  • 0 cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 0 cup molasses (unsulphured)
  • 1 egg (large)
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 0 cup granulated sugar (for rolling)

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. Whisk together flour, baking soda, salt, ginger, cinnamon, and cloves.
  3. Cream butter and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Mix in molasses, egg, and vanilla.
  4. Gradually add dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
  5. Chill dough for 30 minutes for thicker cookies.
  6. Roll dough into balls, coat in granulated sugar, and place on baking sheets.
  7. Bake 10–12 minutes until crackled and set on edges. Cool on wire rack.
