Description

Delicious chocolate cake infused with Baileys Irish Cream and topped with a creamy ganache and whipped cream.


Ingredients

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (plus ingredients listed on box)
  • 1 cup Baileys Irish Cream
  • 1 cup sweetened condensed milk
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1/2 cup heavy cream
  • 1 cup whipped topping or whipped cream
  • Chocolate shavings or cocoa powder, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven according to the cake mix instructions.
  2. Prepare and bake the chocolate cake in a 9×13-inch pan as directed on the box.
  3. While the cake is still warm, poke holes evenly across the surface using the handle of a wooden spoon.
  4. In a bowl, whisk together Baileys Irish Cream and sweetened condensed milk.
  5. Slowly pour the mixture over the cake, allowing it to soak into the holes.
  6. Heat heavy cream until just simmering, then pour over chocolate chips. Let sit for 2 minutes, then stir until smooth.
  7. Spread the chocolate ganache evenly over the cake.
  8. Chill for at least 1 hour, then top with whipped cream and garnish before serving.
